Sponsorship of Shane Price

thumb_shanepriceWe are happy to announce the sponsorship of this exciting young racer.  Shane is being touted as the next Craig Lowndes and we will without a doubt have a long association with Shane.

The son of former touring car and now karting manufacturer Drew Price, Price Jr naturally began his career in karting, proving to be highly successful in each category he raced.

Moving into Formula Ford in 2004 in the Victorian State Series, Price made the move to drive for the works Spectrum team the following year in the national series, finishing runner-up and Rookie of the Year.

It was these performances that gave him a berth with Perkins Motorsport in its first foray into the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series in 2006.

thumb_shaneAs one of five drivers involved in the Holden Young Lions program, Price quickly proved to be a dab-hand at V8 Supercar racing, finishing on the podium in only his third-ever race meeting.

Finishing second in the championship to the highly experienced Adam Macrow was a brilliant performance in a season where Price scored two poles, won two races finished with five consecutive round runner-up results.

For 2007, Larry Perkins has given Price a major responsibility and the youngster will line up in the main series in the Jack Daniel's Racing VE Commodore.
